Science Data Challenge 3

Reproducibility Badges

Credit: Software Sustainability Institute

An essential part of the scientific method, reproducibility leads to better, more efficient science. Reusability generalises this principle to create software that can be adapted by others, allowing previous work to be built upon for the future: a key feature of Open Science.

During the SDC3 challenges, each participating team is eligible for a reproducibility badge. The badges are designed to recognise efforts by teams to prepare software pipelines that can be reproduced and reused by others.

We have adopted the advice of the Software Sustainability Institute, which recommends six steps towards making your code sustainable, enabling others to use and modify it.  An SDC3 reproducibility badge will be awarded to each team who follows the recommended steps. Find the full guide here.

Badges awarded

We are delighted to announce here the recipients of the SDC3 Reproducibility Badges. We thank each of the following teams for the time and effort taken to prepare software pipelines that can be reproduced and reused by others. Congratulations on being champions of Open Science!
